Overview of Progress in March 2021
Notwithstanding that all the measures to control the risk of C-19 have been dropped, we continue to encourage everyone on site to use mask and social distance when possible.
The external façade restoration / alterations continue. With works concentrate on the last area of Whitehall Place.
Installation of new Portland stone almost completed at roof level.
The internal fit out of the Hotel guestrooms is proceeding to plan.
Fit Out of the 85 residential apartments is proceeding to plan.
Work is proceeding to plan to fit out of the Hotel spa.
Mechanical and electrical service installation works are ongoing within the plant rooms located in the basement levels. Works continue with the installation of the passenger and goods lifts including the new car lifts.”
Work on the pavilion on the Quadrangle courtyard continue.
Upcoming Works – April 2021
The key items and dates for elements of works for February 2022 are as follows:
- Ongoing works inside the building for Fitout of hotel and residences.
- Continue dismantling scaffold & Hoist on Quadrangle courtyard.
- Continue installation of Pavilion on the Quadrangle courtyard.
Update on Works to S278 (Highways works)
Ardmore has entered in contract with FM Conway, who are the preferred contractor for Westminster City Council.
Works are to start in Whitehall first with the works for the wall removal in Whitehall Court scheduled for the end of July, start 19/07 / finish 22/07. FMC advise that they will diamond saw cut the concrete wall rather than break it in order to reduce any noise impact.
