During our work on the Old War Office project we noticed an increase in water ingress on Monday. We assumed it was a result of high Spring Tides in the Thames, but noticed the ingress getting progressively worse on Tuesday and Wednesday.
We contacted Thames Water on Wednesday and they informed us that there has been a significant loss of pressure in the local water main, indicating a burst pipe.
It is clear that Thames Water have not resolved the issue as we are still experiencing excess water in the basement. We are carrying out emergency works to avoid any further damage to the building.
Unfortunately, this is outside of our site boundary and therefore control and influence. However, we thought that the situation might be impacting you so thought it prudent to share what we know.
